Before you start
- Customer must exist (created from the Khata tab).
- Camera permission is required for single scan and batch scan.
- For sharing the ledger, the customer needs a phone number.
If you see these messages
- "Daily AI limit reached" — scan quota exhausted for the day.
- "Image unreadable. Retake the photo." — AI could not parse.
- "No entries found in image" — the scan worked but no transactions were detected.
Step-by-step
Open a customer
From the Khata tab, tap any customer row.Read the sticky header
Back arrow, customer name, then five action icons: call, WhatsApp, PDF report, Digital Locker (folder), unlink. The header stays visible as you scroll.Check the sync card
If the customer has a phone number saved, the sync card shows whether the ledger is linked: Not connected, Sync request pending, Synced Ledger, or Unlink request pending. Tap the card to share the ledger or manage the link.Add a transaction
At the bottom, tap You Gave (red) for money given to the customer or You Got (green) for money received. The Add Entry sheet opens.Use the FAB for batch entry or import

Frequently asked questions
By date, then by createdAt timestamp, then by ID. The header has a Latest ↔ Earliest toggle to flip the order.
A type icon (red ↑ for gave, green ↓ for got), the amount, the date, proof icons (if any attached), and edit/delete buttons. Tap the row to open Entry Detail.
When the ledger is in Synced Ledger state, both parties must agree to unlink. Tapping unlink moves the card to "Unlink request pending" instead of removing the link immediately.
Proofs (photos and PDFs) are stored in the Digital Locker for that customer. They sync across your own devices but are never shared with the linked party.
Yes — editing values (amount, date, note) is allowed. Deleting an entry requires the other party’s approval — see Bill Approval.
