A mobile-first ledger built for India’s small lenders.
VyajPay replaces the paper khata and the cluttered loan notebook. The essentials are free, every screen is built for the phone, and the data is yours — an optional Pro subscription adds the power tools.
Why we built it
Lending in India still runs on paper. We changed that.
Across India, small lenders, shopkeepers, and households still track money on paper khata pages, in WhatsApp messages, and on scraps of receipts. The math is manual, reminders get missed, and one lost notebook erases years of records.
VyajPay started in Ahmedabad, Gujarat with one goal: build the cleanest, fastest mobile app for tracking the two things Indian lenders actually do — daily customer credit (khata) and interest-bearing loans. No banker jargon, no impossible onboarding, no monthly fees.
Today, VyajPay runs natively on Android and iOS, supports 12+ languages, and works fully offline. Your data stays in your account, and every feature — AI scan, WhatsApp reminders, Digital Locker, PDF reports — is unlocked from day one.

How we build
Four principles behind every screen
Customer first
Every feature ships from a real user request — a money lender in Surat, a shopkeeper in Pune, a borrower in Vadodara.
Your data, your control
Reset wipes the device instantly. Delete starts a 30-day recovery window. No silent data sharing. Digital Locker stays private — even the linked party never sees it.
Simple over clever
Two tabs, two ledgers, one Add button. AI does the typing. Synced ledgers update in real time. Anyone can use it on day one.
Ship, then sharpen
Frequent updates, no perpetual betas. We listen on WhatsApp, email, and Play Store reviews and iterate weekly.

“I grew up watching small lenders manage entire books on paper, then re-enter everything into Excel at the end of the month. VyajPay is the app I wanted to hand them — free, in their language, on the phone they already carry.”
