Welcome to VyajPay ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our mobile application ("App") and related services (collectively, the "Services").

VyajPay is a digital khata (bookkeeping) and record-keeping application for shopkeepers, small businesses and anyone who keeps a hisab. VyajPay does not provide loans, credit, loan applications, loan matching, payments, banking, underwriting, collection services or financial advice. We do NOT process payments, transfer money, or facilitate financial transactions. Users manually enter their own records, for their own reference only.

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, then you may not access the Services.

We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates and changes to our App. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the Services following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

VyajPay is a digital khata book and record-keeping application that allows users to:

• Maintain a customer-wise khata (udhar ledger) of amounts given and received
• Record entries and the payments received against them
• Note interest (byaj) terms against an entry, and calculate it
• Set reminders for due payments
• Generate reports and statements
• Store documents and proofs against a record
• Sync data across multiple devices

Important: VyajPay is a record-keeping tool only. VyajPay does not provide loans, credit, loan applications, loan matching, payments, banking, underwriting, collection services or financial advice. We do NOT process payments, transfer money, or facilitate any financial transactions. Every entry is created manually by the user, and reflects an arrangement made entirely outside the App.

The core features of VyajPay are available free of charge. The App also offers an optional paid subscription, VyajPay Pro, which unlocks additional premium features and removes ads. Pro is offered as an auto-renewing in-app subscription with the following plans:

• Pro Monthly: billed once per month
• Pro Yearly: billed once per year

Billing

• All subscription purchases are processed by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS) through your store account. We do not collect or store your card or payment details.
• The price applicable to you is the price displayed in the store at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by country/region and may include or exclude applicable taxes depending on your location and store rules.
• Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.

Free Trial

• New subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial. Trial availability, eligibility, and duration are determined by the store and may change or be withdrawn at any time.
• Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and the plan price is charged to your store account.
• Free trials are limited to one per user. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within 24 hours prior to the start of the new period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your store's subscription settings (Google Play: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions; Apple: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
• If you cancel, you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for; no partial or pro-rated refunds are given for the unused remainder of a billing period, except where required by law or by the store's own refund policy.

Changes to Pricing and Features

• We reserve the right to change subscription prices, introduce new plans, or discontinue existing plans at any time. Price changes for existing subscribers take effect in accordance with the applicable store's rules, which normally include advance notice and, where required, your consent before a higher price is charged.
• We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove the specific features included in the free tier and in VyajPay Pro at any time, including moving features between tiers, subject to applicable law.
• If you do not agree to a price or feature change, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect; continued use of the subscription after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the change.

Refunds

Refunds for subscription purchases are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their respective refund policies, as we do not process payments directly. To request a refund, please use the refund process of the store where you made the purchase. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.

Advertising in the Free Tier

The free version of the App is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. Subscribing to VyajPay Pro removes ads. See our Privacy Policy for details on how advertising data is handled.

Account Creation

To use our Services, you must create an account by providing:

• A valid phone number or email address
• Your name
• Verification of your phone number or email (as applicable)

Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Ensuring your device is secure (using app lock, PIN, etc.)

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon account deletion:

• All your data will be marked for deletion
• You have a 30-day grace period to recover your account
• After 30 days, all data will be permanently deleted
• This action cannot be undone after the grace period

Accurate Information

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account
• Update your information to keep it accurate and current
• Enter accurate financial data for your records

Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Services
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Services to store or transmit malicious code or harmful content
• Impersonate any person or entity

Data Entry Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of all financial data you enter
• Maintaining backups of your data (we provide cloud backup, but you should also maintain your own backups)
• Verifying calculations and reports generated by the App
• Compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding your financial records

The Services, including the App, its original content, features, and functionality, are owned by VyajPay and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use our trademarks, logos, or brand names without permission
• Redistribute, sublicense, or sell the App

Your data and content remain your property. By using our Services, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and sync your data as necessary to provide the Services.

We strive to provide reliable Services, but we cannot guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• That the Services will be available at all times
• That all features will work on all devices
• Immediate resolution of technical issues

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time
• Perform maintenance that may temporarily interrupt Services
• Update the App with new features or bug fixes
• Discontinue support for older device versions

Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Key points:

• Your data is encrypted and stored securely
• We do NOT sell your personal or financial records; the free version shows ads via Google AdMob, which processes your device advertising ID only (never your financial records)
• We use Firebase services for core functionality (authentication, storage, sync)
• You can export or delete your data at any time
• Multi-device sync requires storing your data in the cloud

Important Legal Notice:

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• No Financial Services: VyajPay is a record-keeping tool only. We do NOT provide loans, credit, financial services, financial advice, payment processing, collection services, or handle money at any point. Any arrangement recorded in the App is made solely between you and the other party, entirely outside the App. We are not a party to it, and we are not responsible for any transaction, obligation, or dispute between you and your customers.
• No Warranty: The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• Data Accuracy: We are not responsible for the accuracy of data you enter. You are solely responsible for verifying all financial records and calculations.
• Data Loss: While we provide cloud backup, we are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, user error, or other circumstances. You should maintain your own backups.
• Service Interruptions: We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions, technical failures, or maintenance.
• Third-Party Services: We use Firebase services. We are not responsible for issues arising from Firebase service outages or changes.

IN NO EVENT SHALL VYAJPAY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VyajPay and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your access to or use of the Services
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any law or regulation
• Your infringement of any rights of another
• Any financial disputes or transactions between you and third parties

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Services will immediately cease
• You may request deletion of your data
• All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
